The sweep Dress was inspired by Alison’s desire to create a dress that was both beautiful and easy to wear, the best dress you ever had. It is ruched at the bodice which gives it both form and a loose hug to that part of the body. From the waist it falls loosely to the ground making it flattering and stylish.
Once we have finished the design process we send a pattern to our hand stitchers in the Vietnamese countryside. They are a small family run business that have been doing hand stitching and embroidery in the same way for centuries.
Our love of beautiful fabrics and the care, time and intricate work of our talented craftswomen and men is a the heart of our ethos at sula. This process is not without challenges for us as production is often late but when it arrives it is most definitely worth the wait.
